If the language of your Address question's fields needs to be changed, you can do so by using a Custom Translation on your form. An example of changing the language could be "State" to "Town".

Here's how to do this:

  1. Navigate to your form editor, and go to Theme (droplet icon top-right).

  2. At the top of the Theme window, navigate to the "Translations" tab.

An overview of Theme's Translations configuration page.Theme - Translations
  3. Click the "Add Translation +" button listed on the left-hand side.

The "Add Translation +" button within Theme → TranslationsTheme - Add new transation button
  4. Customize your translation as necessary, ensuring you complete the "Translation Title" and "Translation Language" fields at the top.

  5. Locate the relevant wording from your form in the list provided.

  6. Once you've finished making changes as necessary, scroll to the bottom and click the "Create Translation" button.

The "Create Translation" button within Theme → TranslationsTheme - Create Translation Button
  7. Make sure your new translation shows in the "Translations" list with the word "Selected" next to it. If this isn't present, click the button labeled "Use" next to your new translation.

Your translated language should now be present on your form!

Gotchas

  • While the language for the user submitting your form will change, any language on the editor will remain default (for example, when using Answer Piping).
  • If you don't complete a field when setting up a new translation, the empty fields will default back to English.
