How do I integrate with GoToWebinar?

GoToWebinar logo

With the GoToWebinar direct integration, it is now easy to integrate your forms.

Actions

We support the following actions:

  • Create a Registrant
  • Create a Webinar

Connect your GoToWebinar account

  1. From the form editor, go to After Submission → Integrations & Webhooks.
  2. Under "Direct Integrations" select "GoToWebinar".
  3. Select an action.
  4. Click "Add Account +" and follow the prompts to connect your GoToWebinar account.
  5. If successful, your account will be connected and automatically selected in the action.
  6. Continue setting up the action, if desired.

You can remove or rename your GoToWebinar account at any time in your account settings.

Set up an integration action

Like its name, we'll cover creating registrants so they can go to your webinar.

Create a registrant

You can use a form to collect the necessary information about a registrant and then create that registrant in GoToWebinar using their submission data.

  • Webinar — You must select a webinar that already exists in GoToWebinar.

Fields

By default, GoToWebinar sets a few required fields:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email

However, you may include additional fields from a preset list on GoToWebinar.

Questions

You may also create custom questions on GoToWebinar so that you have answers from registrants ready to go once you conduct the webinar.

Both additional fields and questions are both created, modified, or deleted from Registration → Registration Questions when in edit mode for your webinar directly on GoToWebinar.

Note: When setting up questions in GoToWebinar, only "short answer" is supported.

Gotchas

Inconsistent "required" status between the form and GoToWebinar

If you make an additional field or question required on GoToWebinar that does not make it required on your form. The form's question must be toggled as required, which is the default setting, in order for that question to be required for submission.

The point of making a field or question required on GoToWebinar directly might be to cause the integration action to fail if you forgot to map the necessary data or if you allow registrations in another manner and want to enforce that elsewhere.
